YCP Struggles to Find Vijayawada Mayor Candidate

The YCP is reportedly struggling to find a suitable candidate for the Vijayawada mayor post, with several names being considered but no clear choice emerging so far.

According to political buzz, the party leadership approached Devineni Avinash to field his wife, but he is reportedly not showing interest. The party also tried to reach Yalamanchili Ravi, but those efforts have reportedly failed to make progress.

YSRCP is said to have explored the possibility of fielding Kesineni Nani’s daughter, Kesineni Swetha, but the family is reportedly not interested in contesting.

Former mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi was initially willing to enter the race and reportedly indicated that she would spend money on the campaign. However, she is now said to have expressed financial difficulties.

With several options reportedly falling through, the Vijayawada mayor race has become a challenge for YSRCP. The party is yet to settle on a candidate who is both willing to contest and capable of managing the election campaign.

Meanwhile, Janasena has secured the Vijayawada mayor seat to contest as part of the NDA alliance seat-sharing arrangement. With Vangaveeti Radha recently joining Janasena, his name is being discussed as a strong contender for the NDA candidate.

Given his political background and local influence, Radha could give the alliance a major advantage in the mayoral race, with the NDA hopeful of securing a comfortable victory.
