The Covid-19 vaccine is here and the drive will officially be launched on Saturday at 10:30 AM by PM Narendra Modi.
The vaccination drive is all set to begin in 3006 virtually connected sites all over India and each center will vaccinate 100 people a day. As many as 3 lakh health workers will receive the vaccine on day one.
Co-WIN app will be used for this vaccination drive that provides real-time info on vaccine stock, storage temperature, and also the vaccine recipients’ tracking. First, the priority groups like health care workers from the public and private sectors will be vaccinated in this drive.
This drive is aiming at vaccinating 300 million high-risk people over the next few months and the sites also will be increased to 5000, as per NITI Aayog. A 24×7 call center 1075 answers the questions about the vaccination drive process and the Co-WIN software.
