MLA Seethakka Stopped From Helping Tribals

Dansari Anasuya aka Seethakka, MLA from Mulug made it to the national headlines last week. Ever since the Corona virus lockdown, she has been distributing essential commodities to the tribals of her constituency and for this she used to walk and go on bike for nearly 19 kilometres. This gesture won huge appreciation from all corners of the country.

But on Saturday MLA Seethakka was stopped by the police from distributing vegetables and ration. This incident happened at Tekupalli village of Khammam district. The police stopped Seethakka from going to the village and the police cited that there is moment of Maoists in this region. However Seethakka refused to go back and argued with the police to help the tribals.

The police made it clear that they would not allow Seethakka to enter the village and so with no other option, Seethakka returned but placed the vegetables and ration at one place. She requested people to collect them and also asked the tribals to stay home and be safe.

Very rarely we find such public representatives and hats off to Seethakka.
