Don’t Make Any Comments On Sharmila, TRS Tells Cadre

After the YCP, the TRS too issued directives to the party cadre not to make any comments or react on YSR daughter Sharmila’s plunge into active politics. Orders have been issued to the TRS cadre from the party headquarters, Pragati Bhavan.

Following the orders, the social media wing of the party became alert and started removing all anti-Sharmila posts on the social media. After Sharmila announced her plans about the new political party, TRS leaders uploaded posts making suggestions like “If Anna did injustice, you should go to Andhra and fight against him there than trying to start the battle in Telangana, Chellemma.”

Soon as news of Sharmila’s plans was out, the TRS cadre uploaded many posts making satirical remarks against her and they became viral. The pink party cadre also circulated some old pictures showing Sharmila with garlands of footwear, that were much publicised during the Telangana movement. These posts sent a clear message that the TRS was annoyed over Sharmila’s plans to float a party in Telangana.

Political analysts are trying to read between the lines and understand if Sharmila herself had decided to launch the party or if it is being done at the behest of others. There is discussion about which political party would benefit and who would gain or lose due to Sharmila’s party.TRS senior leaders are closely watching the developments to understand the political situation and the new party’s implications.

Following speculations over Sharmila’s party, TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister
K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that managing political parties is not an easy task. It is not like singing a song or opening a pan shop. A new party should have a strong base and need for its existence, he said.

KCR reminded that in the last 20 years, many political parties were set up by people like Vijayasanthi, Devender Gowd, Narendra and Prof. Kodandaram but none of them could withstand the test of time.
