Some unidentified attackers threw crude bombs at West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain in the Mintita railway station of Murshidabad district. The minister was seriously injured in the attack. The minister sustained injuries on the left side, mainly on the leg.
Two other persons along with the ministers were injured in the incident. They were all taken to Jangipur Sub-divisional Hospital.
Before he was attacked, the minister of state for labor was waiting at platform no 2 of the station for a train to Kolkata at around 10 pm.
