Over the last few days, Maharashtra has been reporting a high number of new Covid-19 infections and this has forced the state government to impose restrictions in few cities. The other day, the state posted over 6000 cases and 51 deaths. Simultaneously experts have predicted that Maharashtra is hit by a second wave and a new variant of the virus has been detected.
Amidst this, the Telangana government went on high alert. The borders of Maharashtra and Telangana, thermal screenings have been placed and at check posts, camps have been set up. Covid-19 tests are being conducted at these camps and the officials are sending people who have symptoms of cough and cold to government hospitals as a precautionary.
However, through RTC buses, more people travel and at mandals like Bansuwada, Pitlam, Navipet, Madhnur and few others, farmers travel to and fro for market purpose. The locals of these mandals have appealed to the authorities to conduct tests for all the people arriving from Maharashtra.
