The Andhra Pradesh BJP has boycotted ABN Andhra Jyothy channel and released a press statement accordingly. In this, the AP BJP alleged that ABN is acting at the behest of Telugu Desam party and so they took the decision.
Going into details, the other day during a television debate in the channel, a TDP activist had attacked BJP general secretary Vishnuvardhan Reddy. However no case was filed against the attacker but gave a clean chit in this whole episode.
In this view, the AP BJP has decided not to attend any debates of ABN hereafter even after getting an invitation. Also the BJP will not be invited for its press meets.
Not stopping here, BJP has threatened to take legal action against ABN journalists if they violate any of the party’s decision.
This decision of AP BJP will come into effect immediately but the saffron party has decided to rethink its decision if ABN offers an unconditional apology.
