A video in which film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna was seen allegedly slapping a fan and Hindupur TDP activist named Somu has been going viral since morning. As usual, netizens and opposition party leaders are blasting Balayya’s incorrigible behaviour which has become a habit of sorts over the years.
But here’s a twist in the tale. Somu, the fan who was allegedly slapped by Balayya, released a video message in which he clarified that Balayya did not slap him. “I am a huge fan of Balayya Babu. He campaigned since morning and came to my brother’s house. Balayya Babu mistook me for an outsider and only pushed me aside,” Somu said.
“We NBK fans do not bother about these petty incidents.Opposition parties are politicising this issue and are doing a negative campaign. In fact, Balayya did not shake hands with a single fan throughout his campaign since morning, and I feel fortunate to have been touched by him,” Somu added, concluding his video message with the slogans – “Jai Balayya” and “Jai Telugu Desam.”
Highlight of the entire episode is that Somu later took to his social media pages and posted a picture of him posing with Balayya after being ‘touched’ by the firebrand actor-politician.
