Kamal Haasan’s Assets: Rs 176 Crores; Rs 50 Crore Liabilities

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan turned into an active politician. Floating his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam, Kamal Haasan began campaigning for his party in the election. Kamal is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency and has filed his nomination where he declared his assets. It caught the attention of everyone. Kamal declared movable assets of over Rs 45 crore and immovable assets worth 131 crores. For 2019-20, Kamal Haasan’s income was Rs 22.1 crore.

In his election affidavit, Kamal mentioned Rs 2.43 crore in bank deposits, Rs 26.1 lakh in investments such as mutual funds and shares, Rs 2.39 crore in insurance, Rs 36.24 crore in personal loans, and Rs 3.69 crore in vehicles — a BMW 730LD and Lexus Lx 570.

The total movable assets that he declared are more than 45 crore rupees. Kamal Haasan also owns 35.59 acres of agricultural land worth Rs 17.79. Kamal also owns commercial buildings worth Rs 92.05 crore. Kamal Haasan owns two properties in Chennai which are his residences. These properties value 19.5 crores. Kamal Haasan also co-owns a property in London that is currently worth Rs 2.5 crore.

Kamal Haasan has Rs 49.5 crore in liabilities. Rs 33.16 crore of it is housing loan, mortgage loan, insurance loans, and other loans. Rs 15.33 crore, is dues owed to other individuals and entities.

Kamal Haasan established MNM in 2018. April 6th is the polling day.
