Firebrand leader and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy is likely to quit the beleaguered Congress Party. Revanth, who happens to be a ray of hope for the revival of party in the state, seems to be extremely unhappy with the party’s senior leadership.
Kuna Srisailam Goud and Konda Vishweshwar Reddy have called it quits. Srisailam and Konda are known as Revanth’s quotary. Their exit from the Congress is indicating that Revanth could be the next big wicket to fall.
Congress has been under-performing in the state from longtime. Though it is the party that had declared Telangana as new state, the party couldn’t take advantage of it as regional TRS walked away with the credit and glory. Several senior leaders have already dumped the Congress. It is heard that many more are likely to leave. If Revanth too leaves, it will be a big blow to the Congress.
However, all eyes are on Revanth’s next step. Will Revanth join BJP to fight with TRS? Already, Kuna had joined BJP. It is buzzed that Konda may also join the Saffron brigade. This turns interesting as one has to wait for Revanth’s next move.
Ahead of Nagarjuna Sagar by-election, these rumours about Reventh’s exit are really worrying Congress leadership.
