A BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh was found dead his residence in Delhi’s North Avenue. The deceased MP is identified as Ram Swaroop Sharma and he represents Mandi Parliament constituency.
The 62 year old was found hanging inside his room, which was locked from inside. The MP’s personal secretary dialled the police as the MP Sharma was not answering his call. A team of Delhi police reached the MP’s residence and broke through the room of Sharma. To their shock, the MP was found hanging to the ceiling fan.
The Delhi Police have sent the corpse of the MP for post-mortem report and have launched an investigation. The cops did not find any suicide note in the room of Sharma and have deployed clues teams.
Following the death of MP Sharma, BJP has cancelled their Parliamentary meeting this morning. MP Sharma is survived by his wife and three sons.
