Naidu-Lokesh Took Vaccine Secretly, Says Perni

Minister Perni Nani alleged that TDP president and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh took Covid vaccine secretly following reports that the duo had not taken the jab till now.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy posted pictures of them receiving the jab, there was no such update from the father-son duo leading to several speculations.

The minister charged Naidu-Lokesh with spreading Covid among their party MLAs even while saying that the duo had taken the vaccine behind the doors. Further, he said that many of the TDP MLAs got admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Nani faulted the duo for trying to spread Covid by campaigning for Tirupati bypolls without any consideration towards public health. He said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy desisted from campaigning in Tirupati only to prevent the spread of Covid as he feared that public, who would turn up in lakhs for his meeting, would get infected as the physical distance protocol would go for a toss in such instances.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he would not step out to campaign in Tirupati even if he would lose politically only for the sake of the public,” Nani pointed out.
