Sharmila Fell Unconscious, Protest Resumes At Lotus Pond

YS Sharmila’s three-day protest at Indira park over the unemployment in Telangana and her walkathon to Lotus pond was disrupted by the police. She undertook the fast demanding the Telangana government to issue job notification for the unemployed youth.

Irrespective of police barricading her protest walk, Sharmila tried to continue the march that resulted in an injury on her had and she fell unconscious for a short time. She was arrested and later moved to Begumpet women police station and then was dropped at Lotus Pond residence.

Sharmila pledged to continue her protest and also warned the police of dire consequences next time if they injure her. YS Sharmila resumed her protest at Lotus Pond. a large number of supporters arrived at the Sharmila protest that caused a stampede.

Vijayamma condemned the act of police outrage on YS Sharmila’s silent protest. She said the government should have acted respectfully towards Sharmila’s protest. She said if the police want to be violent, the protests also get aggressive.
