KTR Fines Corporator For Erecting His Flexi

On several occasions in the past, Telangana state Municipal Administration Minister KTR had expressed severe displeasure over his partymen and opposition party members erecting banners and flexis across the state. In a latest, KTR had ensured the Erragadda AIMIM Corporator Shaheen Begum fined by the GHMC officials for erecting a banner.

At 12 pm yesterday, KTR visited Sultan Nagar in Erragadda, Hyderabad to inaugurate to a Basti Dawakhana (Community Clinic). Ahead of his visit, Shaheen Begum erected a flexi welcoming KTR. The flexi was hung on a couple of electric poles.

Noticing the flexi upon his arrival, an angry KTR reprimanded the Corporator and even refused to inaugurate the clinic until the GHMC officials fined Shaheen and her husband Mohammad Shareef for erecting the flexi and flouting lockdown rules by not wearing face masks.

GHMC Circle-19 DMC Ramesh was called to the spot immediately and he handed over a challan of Rs 20,000 and Rs 1,000 to Shaheen and Shareef respectively. It was only after the couple was fined that KTR inaugurated the Basti Dawakhana.
