The Telangana government has extended its night curfew restrictions in the state in the wake of Covid-19 second wave storm. The earlier announced night curfew would come to an end today and the Telangana High Court has asked what are the next steps of government to stop the spread of virus?
The High Court has also found fault with the TRS government in taking last minute decisions and questioned why the government is unable to take decisions at least a day before. On Thursday, the High Court wanted to know more about the measures once the night curfew ends.
The government had clearly no answers to the High Court and the advocate general (AG) replied to the court that he would consult the government and get back. Accordingly the AG informed the government that it is extending the night curfew by another week. This means the night curfew will be implemented till May 8th.
Meanwhile Telangana has reported 7646 new positive Covid-19 cases and 53 people have succumbed in the last 24 hours.
