AP CM YS Jagan has announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for kin of SVR Ruia hospital Covid-19 victims who died of lack of oxygen supply. According to reports, 11 Covid-19 patients treated in ICU died on Monday allegedly after oxygen supply was delayed.
CM Jagan said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy which claimed the lives of 11 Covid-19 patients. He ordered for a probe into the incident.
Jagan held a video conference with the collectors and SPs of districts over the shortage of beds and oxygen supply to Covid-19 patients. He also discussed the steps and measures to be taken.
CM Jagan said the government has to take responsibility for things that are not in its hands. He referred to the oxygen tanker from Tamil Nadu that had arrived late which resulted in the loss of 11 lives. He also referred to the airlifting of empty oxygen tankers to avoid delay.
