It’s healthcare crisis India. From shortage of beds, oxygen to vaccines, it’s chaos at hospitals. The Centre has kept everything under its control like from supplying oxygen to Remedesivir and distributing vaccines to states. It appears that the Centre is not doing much to address these issues. The media is continuously questioning the Centre on these aspects and irritated by the media’s constant jibe, a central minister has lost his cool and made irresponsible comments.
“Should we hang ourselves over non-availability of vaccines?” said Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers DV Sadananda Gowda. The minister was in Bengaluru and when the media confronted him and asked about the vaccine distribution and Supreme Court’s comments, he replied “If it has not been produced yet, should we hang ourselves?”
These are absolutely ridiculous comments coming from a minister who is also a senior most politician.
There is outrage that the Centre is giving high importance to the Central Vista project instead of vaccine manufacturing and yet there is absolutely silence from the government in New Delhi.
