Actor and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan has written an open letter to AP state government over the arrest of MP Raghurama Krishna Raju. Stating that this is not appropriate time to arrest a MP, Pawan asked the AP government to focus on the Covid-19 patients who are not getting due treatment, admission in hospitals because of lack of beds, oxygen supply.
He opined that Raghurama Krishna Raju was arrested for political reasons for raising his voice and being critical about the government. Pawan said that Janasena party is condemning the arrest of Raju. He said that it is undemocratic and oppressive act of the government.
Pawan also said that AP government is watching in silence when the ambulances from the state are being stopped at Telangana state border. He said that Telangana State High Court’s intervention has given the breather to patients shifting to Hyderabad for better treatment. He asked AP government to take necessary measures to help the patients and their families in these difficult times.
Pawan further said that AP government should focus on providing medicines, beds in hospitals and oxygen supply for patients on time and thus instill confidence and strength in people. “Stop your politics at least for sometime,” said Pawan in a statement referring to CM YS Jagan.
It can be noted that AP CID sleuths had picked Naraspur MP Raghurama Krishna Raju from his Hyderabad residence the other day and was arrested and shifted to Guntur CID Regional office.
Meanwhile, a House-Motion Petition has been filed in AP High Court against Raghurama Krishna Raju’s arrest which would be taken up by the court today afternoon.
