RRR Case: Contempt Of Court Case On CID

AP High Court is serious on AP CID officials over the row of Narsapur MP Raghurama Krishna Raju’s arrest and jailing him. Following a petition by MP’s advocate, AP High Court has looked into the issue and found some violations of orders passed by the High Court and magistrate.

The High Court leveled some questions to CID officials. The Court directed the Judicial Registrar to book a Contempt of Court case as Suo Moto. It asked the Registrar to send notices to CID Additional Director-General and SHO.

The High Court commented that the court won’t be silent if the fundamental rights of a citizen are violated. According to media reports, the HC questioned the CID officials over delay in the medical report. It pointed out that the medical report was asked to submit by 12 PM whereas they were only provided at 6 PM. The court also questioned the officials over their inaction.
