In a dramatic move the Andhra Pradesh government has given its green signal for Annadayya ‘medicine’ aka ‘concoction’. Surprisingly this decision of AP government arrived after Kotayya, the man who had consumed Annadayya’s medicine initially showed improvement but finally breathed his last after losing the long battle.
But before taking this decision, the AP government had a keen look at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) report. However, the AP government is yet to approve the medicine that is to be given on eyes. The report from the eye is awaited and so the government kept this approval on hold. This report is likely to take another 2 or 3 days to be placed before the government.
Coming to the report of CCRAS, it claimed that Annadayya’s medicine has no conclusive evidence that Covid-19 would come down and simultaneously while using this medicines, other medicines approved by the government cannot be ignored.
Well, when there is no efficient evidence on Annadayya’s medicine, wonder how come the AP government approved its consumption. There is a lot of confusion on this medicine yet adequate efforts are not being done to prove its sanctity.
