Former Tollywood actress Navneet Kaur received a huge set back from the Bombay High Court. Going into details, Navneet contested as independent candidate from Amaravati, Maharashtra and won the elections. This Lok Sabha constituency is a reserved one and the actress claimed that she hails from SC community.
Regarding Navneet’s caste, Shiv Sena leader Anandrao Adsul has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court. The court observed the documents (affidavit) of Navneet submitted during the polls.
After carefully noticing all the docs, the Bombay High Court has cancelled the SC certificate of Navneet and added that these certificates are obtained fraudulently with fabricated evidences. Further the court penalised Navneet by Rs 2 Lakh to be paid for Maharashtra Legal Services.
With the Bombay High Court’s decision, Navneet is likely to lose her MP post. But if she challenges in Supreme Court, the case may take long and Navneet can continue as MP for the full term.
