Rare: KCR’s Meeting With Congress Leaders

In one of the rarest incidents, Telangana CM KCR has given appointment to Congress leaders and this has become a sensational news in Telangana political circles. But before KCR confirmed the appointment, some interesting scenes took place.

Apparently Congress MLA Bhatti Vikramarka was in a meeting with MLAs who hail from the SC community. In the middle of the meeting Bhatti received a call from KCR and after answering the call, Bhatti told KCR that he has been trying for an appointment for a long time. KCR informed Bhatti that he would check his schedule and confirm the appointment in ten minutes. A late by five minutes, KCR redialled Bhatti and confirmed the appointment.

As and when Bhatti received confirmation, he called up his colleagues Jagga Reddy, Sridhar Babu and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. All the Congress MLAs reached Pragathi Bhavan in no time and finally met KCR.

The priority of the meeting is the water resources sharing between the Telugu states which have tensed up in the last couple of days and the lockup death of Mariyamma. Congress MLAs have asked for a probe on the lockup death.

Reacting to the lockup death, KCR has ordered for a detailed probe. Further KCR said severe action would be taken on the culprits and if any police officer is found guilty, KCR has ordered the DGP to terminate the concerned officer from service. As a relief, the victim’s son was offered a government job and Rs 15 ex-gratia.

This is for the first time that KCR and Congress MLAs met post the 2018 elections and sometimes such incidents happen unexpectedly and this meeting is one such. What’s surprising is KCR has positively responded to a particular issue that the Congress MLAs brought to his notice.
