HCA Gets New Prez, Angry Azhar To Move Court

The internal conflicts in Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) are taking new twists and turns every day. After the Apex Council terminated former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, the council appointed a new interim President. Current Vice President John Manoj is made interim President by the Apex Council.

Reacting to this, Azhar fumed on the Apex Council. “I’m still the President of HCA and the Apex Council has no right to appoint any interim President. In the history of HCA, there was no interim President,” said Azhar.

The Hyderabadi cricketer once again lashed out at the five members in the Apex Council. “Those five members are behind this whole controversy. Every day they go to courts since they are facing the ACB cases and it’s a wonder that they question my integrity,” said Azhar.

On appointment of interim President, Azhar is contemplating to approach the court. “Yes, I’m looking at the legal options. As per Supreme Court directives, I am the President who was elected and played Test cricket for the country. So these Apex Council orders are not at all valid,” added Azhar.

When asked about the political parties or politicians involvement in HCA affairs, Azhar said that there is no such thing happening.

On the other hand, the cricketers are worried about the controversial development in the HCA ahead of the season.
