TRS MLA from Khairatabad constituency, Danam Nagender was deemed guilty of phsyically attacking a person named Subba Rao by special court for trial of MLAs and MPs, Hyderabad.
The judge found Nagender and his driver, Chutny Raju guilty following the detailed investigation and slapped a six-month jail term to both of them. Apart from serving the jail time, the duo should pay a fine of ₹1000 each and if they fail to do so, their jail term will be prolonged by a month.
Upon Subba Rao’s complaint, criminal cases under sections 323 and 506 were filed against Danam Nagender and his driver back in 2013 when the incident happened. The judgement was passed by judge Varaprasad today. Nagender and Raju can file appeal the judgement within a month from now.
