Neither Demanded nor Offered MLC; Ramana Resigns To T-TDP

Last evening Telangana TDP President L Ramana met Telangana CM KCR and the former confirmed that he would be joining the TRS party soon. Accordingly this afternoon Ramana has tendered his resignation to T-TDP and sent a letter regarding the same to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. But on what assurance is Ramana joining TRS is yet to be known.

There are rumours that Ramana might have been offered MLC seat or Huzurabad by-election ticket. Opening up about these rumours Ramana himself clarified that he was neither offered MLC seat nor placed his demands before TRS chief KCR.

On quitting TDP, Ramana said that currently Telangana is witnessing new political equations, new parties are coming up and accordingly he was asked by many political parties to rethink the stand of being stuck to TDP. “I have been in public life for 27 years now and I would want to continue this service. It’s CM KCR who has invited me into his party and in yesterday’s meeting we have discussed many issues. As our prime interests lies with Telangana, I have decided to join TRS,” said Ramana.

The former Jagityal MLA also revealed that he has been contemplating about his next political move for the past one month or so with his supporters and followers. And on the future of Telangana TDP, Ramana said this country has seen many political parties. A few of them get the opportunity and a few don’t. it’s a common phenomenon.

Summing up Ramana said he would be joining TRS in another couple of days. So that’s an end of TDP in Telangana region.
