The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is accusing TikTok and its parent company ByteDance of failing to protect children’s privacy. This comes after a previous settlement in 2019 for similar violations. The FTC believes TikTok may be collecting data from users under 13 without parental consent, which is against US law.
