One person was killed and six others injured after a portion of the roof at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1 collapsed during heavy rainfall on June 28, 2024. The incident involved the collapse of the roof sheet and support beams, damaging multiple vehicles in the pick-up and drop-off area. Rescue operations were immediately launched, and the injured were hospitalized. Departures from Terminal 1 were temporarily suspended as authorities investigated the cause of the structural failure.
