On May 11, 2024, Omkar Pote, an assistant operator manager at Fortune Company in Pune, lost part of his middle finger while packing ice cream. The manufacturing date on the ice cream cone that later contained the severed finger matched this incident. Following a complaint by a Mumbai resident who found the finger in his ice cream, the police registered a case of negligence against Fortune Company.
