The government has released new sand policy guidelines. Previously, sand was sold at ₹475/tonne, with ₹375 going to the government after deducting ₹100 for transportation. Now, an additional ₹88 will be charged to consumers, allocated to local organizations. Collectors will pay ₹88 plus loading and transportation costs.
