Delhi High Court Rules WhatsApp Chats Inadmissible as Evidence

The Delhi High Court has clarified that WhatsApp chats cannot be considered as evidence under the Evidence Act-1872 unless accompanied by a suitable certificate vouching for their authenticity. This ruling came in response to a case filed by Adil Feroze against Dell International Services in the District Consumer Forum in 2022, where the High Court upheld the Commission’s verdict.
