‘Our Rupees Is Doing Absolutely Fine’ – Nirmala Sitharaman

A heated debate erupted in Parliament over the falling rupee, with opposition leaders blaming the government for the currency’s slide. Responding in the Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the rupee is “doing fine” and that global factors like a strong US dollar and the West Asia conflict are behind the volatility, while insisting India’s economy remains strong and resilient.
