The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has proposed new rules to introduce recharge plans without internet data. Under the draft Telecom Consumer Protection Regulations 2026, telecom companies must offer voice and SMS-only packs for 28, 56 and 84 days. The move could reduce costs for users who only make calls, especially feature phone users and senior citizens.
