The United States will begin refunding billions of dollars collected through Trump-era tariffs starting Monday after legal rulings declared several duties unlawful. The Customs and Border Protection system will process claims from importers and businesses. Around $166 billion may be refunded, mostly to companies, with payments expected in phases over the coming months.
