Indian-origin neurosurgeon Chirag Patel has been suspended for eight months in the UK after a tribunal found he had a sexual relationship with a patient and secretly prescribed addictive opioids without proper records. Patel reportedly claimed he continued prescriptions after being “blackmailed” over the affair.
