Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Bharat Taxi services across 14 major cities in Gujarat. He accused private ride hailing companies of exploiting both drivers and passengers and alleged they were cutting fares despite losses to block competition. Shah said Bharat Taxi aims to end such practices, with plans to expand the service to over 500 cities across India within two years.
