The Centre is set to introduce the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha. Home Minister Amit Shah will table the legislation, which seeks to give Vande Mataram the same legal protection as the National Anthem, making insults or obstruction a punishable offence.
