SRH’s chapter closed in IPL 2021

It all ended for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. SRH has now become the first team to get out of the playoff contention. The curtains have come down for them after losing to Punjab Kings tonight.

Before the start of the game, SRH needed to win all the rest of the matches to stay alive in the playoff race. The men in orange won the toss and elected to bowl. The bowlers gave a good start by claiming wickets of Punjab in regular intervals. They have successfully restricted KL Rahul’s side for mere 125 runs in 20 overs. Jason Holder has put up a great show with the ball (3/19).

The pitch was slow and sluggish. But 125 is not at all a tough target to chase. All SRH needed was to play cautiously by not losing wickets. But Punjab got a great start from its star bowler Mohammed Shami (2/14) who dismissed David Warner and Kane Williamson in his first two overs.

After that, Wriddhiman Saha (31) tried to build the innings with Manish Pandey (13) and Kedhar Jadhav (12) but none of them was able to take their team to the victory shores. When fans were losing hopes, once again all-rounder Jason Holder (47*) played blistering innings and raised the winning desire once again. However, his special knock was not enough to give SRH a victory. In the end, Sunrisers ended the innings with a score of 120/7.

As everything is done for this season, fans are hoping that SRH’s management will build a settled team by picking quality T20 players in the 2022 mega auction.
