We are just a few hours away from the much-awaited game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. India will take on its arch-rival Pakistan in their respective first game of the Super 12 stage. The excitement levels for this match is as expected and every cricket fan across the globe is looking forward to it.
India and Pakistan have faced each other in the T20 World Cup five times in the past. India won all those five matches. These encounters include the epic final of the 2007 T20 World Cup.
It has been more than two years since India and Pakistan have played against each other in the international arena. The last time they locked horns was in the 2019 ODI World Cup. India won that match as well.
Both the teams look strong ahead of this game. India, led by Virat Kohli, has some serious power hitters like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Rishab Pant, Hardik Pandya, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Kohli himself. On the flip side, Pakistan is banking on their bowling prowess that includes speedsters like Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali.
Pakistan also features 2021’s highest T20 run-getters Mohammed Rizwan and Babar Azam. It has to be seen how they handle bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami.
The match starts at 07.30 PM IST. It will be held in Dubai.
