In a twist of tale, MS Dhoni has been reappointed as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Before the start of the Tata IPL 2022, Dhoni quit captaincy and CSK team management announced allrounder Ravindra Jadeja as the new skipper.
Under Jadeja’s leadership, CSK has played eight games and won just two days. In the points table, CSK stood second from last and that worried CSK fans immensely. Though Jadeja was not criticised for his captaincy, he was under severe pressure because CSK was a successful franchise in IPL’s 15 years history.
Bowing down to pressure, Jadeja stepped down from captaincy and he informed the CSK franchise management as well. Jadeja’s decision was respected and accepted. And in a surprise CSK reappointed Dhoni as the captain because the team had no major player to bank on.
So, Dhoni is back and will CSK’s fate change? Looking at the current equation, CSK has less chances to make it to the Playoffs but Dhoni has immense luck on his side and he really can change things for CSK.
