Chetan Sharma Resigns After Sting Operation

The sting operation conducted by Zee News has pushed Team India’s chief selector Chetan Sharma’s career into jeopardy. For the last two days, his shocking statements about the Indian cricket team have been doing rounds on the internet. Eventually, it led to his resignation.

According to the latest reports, Chetan Sharma has officially resigned from his post. He sent a letter to BCCI secretary Jay Shah and got approval for the same. However, Chetan didn’t publicly respond to the sting operation yet.

In the conversation with the reporter, Chetan Sharma revealed shocking revelations about the Indian cricket team. He spoke about the rivalry between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli, and the captaincy issue between Virat and Rohit Sharma. He also alleged that players who are 80 per cent fit will take injections to get selected for the game. He said that these injections will not be found in the dope test.

Chetan also stated that he maintains a close relationship with the likes of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. All these statements pushed him into trouble and made him resign from his position. BCCI will elect the new chief selector soon.
