Though MS Dhoni said he didn’t decide on his retirement yet, reports hint that the day has come. A cryptic post from Chennai Super Kings is now raising doubts among fans regarding Dhoni’s retirement.
CSK’s official social media handle recently shared a video clip of MS Dhoni and wrote, “Oh Captain, My Captain!” Though nothing has been made official yet, fans are worrying that this is a sign of Dhoni’s retirement.
Dhoni is a man of surprises. All of a sudden, he announces his retirement out of the blue. He will do the same this time as well. But fans are hoping to see him play once last season next year. Anyway, we don’t know what MSD has in his mind.
Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in the history of cricket. He won the T20 World Cup in 2007, ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013. He also has five IPL titles, the joint most by any captain in the league’s history. Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 but continued to play in the IPL.
Meanwhile, look at the emotional replies of MSD fans to CSK’s cryptic post.
