Afghanistan has just achieved a remarkable victory against the defending champions, England. Afghan spinners spun a web around English batters and dismissing them for a mere 215 runs, resulting in a 69-run win.
This triumph holds great significance for Afghanistan, as defeating the defending world champions with their formidable batting lineup is a incredible feat. It was a collective team effort that paved the way for this sweet victory, evoking memories of Ireland’s stunning win against England in the 2011 World Cup.
The match took place in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, and Afghanistan is currently making waves on social media. A heartwarming video of a young fan embracing Mujeeb Ur Rahman is going viral, illustrating the profound impact of this victory on Afghanistan’s cricketing spirit.
Furthermore, this victory pushed Australia to the bottom of the points table, and Afghanistan managed to achieve a double victory by defeating both Australia and England. Overall, this match will be etched in the books of cricket history as an extraordinary and memorable event.
