By the looks of it, Sunrisers Hyderabad appears to have found a new starboy in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy who is impressing one and all with his batting prowess. In the earlier game against Chennai Super Kings, he closed the game comprehensively with a big six, and again today, he meant business in the game against Punjab Kings.
Reddy came out to bat when SRH was struggling at 27-2 and later stitched a heavy-duty partnership with Abdul Samad, taking the team total to an impressive 182. His 64 off 37 meant an invaluable contribution to the team when it was needed the most.
Another Telugu-origin player Hanuma Vihari spoke highly of Nitish after his fine innings today as he stated “NKR- comes from a humble background.
His father left his job for his career, he guided him and nurtured him. His hard work has paid dividends and I’ve seen him when he was 17 years old. Proud of him of how he’s grown as a player.Asset for SRH n India in the future!.”
While Nitish has shown his class in the first two innings that he has played, the important thing is to continue the momentum and if he does, SRH might be having a new star in the making.
