Team India’s humiliating defeat in the recently concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy opened a lot of debates on social media. Interestingly, the BCCI bosses do not like the way in which the team is functioning.
As per the sources, the board decided to implement some restrictions on the players going forward. It will impact both the players as well as the coach Gautham Gambhir.
The following might likely going to happen:
BCCI might restrict the stay of families with the players for two weeks only. When a tour happens for 45 days, the board will allow their families, especially wives, to stay with them only for two weeks.
Every player has to travel in the team bus along with others. The board will also discourage lone travel.
The board will also keep huge restrictions on Gautham Gambhir. As per the reports, Gambhir’s manager will not be allowed to stay in the team hotel. He will also be not permitted.
Neither would Gambhir’s manager be allowed to stay in the team hotel, nor he would be permitted to be seated in the VIP box at stadiums.
It is also being reported that the BCCI would refrain from paying for players’ luggage if the weight exceeds 150kg during the air travel.
However, an official announcement on the same is expected to be out soon.
