Kohli’s Ranji Comeback Causes Stampede-Like Situation

Star cricketer Virat Kohli’s return to domestic cricket excited many fans across the country but also caused chaos at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, resulting in a stampede-like situation. Several fans were injured and the stadium’s property was damaged ahead of the Ranji Game between Delhi and Railways teams.

Thousands of fans queued up at the Arun Jaitley Stadium since morning to witness Virat Kohli playing live in the stadium. At Gate 16, the situation became tense when a few fans fell down as the rest of the people standing in the queue pushed them. This led to chaos. Three people were injured in the incident, a police bike and stadium property were damaged and many fans lost their footwear.

The police and the security personnel had to try hard to bring the situation under control. The incident occurred as the Delhi Cricket Association didn’t expect such a huge crowd for a Ranji Match. However, it was Virat Kohli playing and he is appearing in the Ranji Trophy after more than 12 years.
