Finally, SRH-HCA Fiasco Ends: What’s Final Judgement?

The public tussle between Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Hyderabad cricket Association created a lot of controversy over the last couple of days. The main complaint from SRH is that the HCA has been torturing them for additional complimentary tickets apart from the standard 3900 tickets that are given to them.

This turned out to be such a big issue that the HCA under the radar of the chief minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy himself, who had initiated a vigilance probe. Interestingly, this issue was resolved very quickly by this proactive measure from Revanth Reddy.

A meeting was chaired with the vigilance department, and both Sunrisers and HCA representatives partook in the same. An amicable solution was found for this matter and HCA pledge complete support to Sunrisers franchise in the future.

In response, the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise also agreed to stick to the standard practice of giving 3900 complimentary tickets to HCA for every game. The earlier method of operation will be in use henceforth as well and there will be no changes to the same.

The media communication on this matter read “In response to various reports circulating in mainstream and digital media regarding issues between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), HCA Secretary Mr. R. Devraj convened a meeting with SRH officials today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The meeting was attended by SRH representatives Mr. Kiran, Mr. Saravanan, and Mr. Rohit Suresh.

During the discussions, SRH proposed strictly adhering to the existing tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA, and BCCI, ensuring that 10% of the available stadium capacity across all sections is allocated accordingly.

HCA, in turn, proposed maintaining the existing allocation of passes in each category, in line with the long-standing practice followed over the years.”

Now that a tri-party commission has been convened with SRH-HCA-BCCI, the issue will have a larger prejudice and scrutiny which would ultimately help SRH gain desired outcomes.
