IPL : Mumbai’s Worst Record Against Lucknow!

Not many people can debate the fact that Mumbai Indians is one of the most successful franchises in IPL. The very fact that they have 5 IPL titles to their name is an indication of the same.

In tune, with this successful track record, Mumbai Indians has a very good head to head record against almost all the teams. Statistical speaking, Mumbai has a better winning ratio when compared to 8 out of the 10 teams in IPL.

However, there is this one team that has historically had wood over Mumbai Indians and it is Lucknow Super Giants. This was on display again last night when Lucknow managed to Harish Mumbai via margin of 12 runs.

After being put to bat first Lucknow got to 203, which was always going to be a tough chase on this slow and sluggish Lucknow Stadium. In response, Mumbai looked to be in a decent position till the 13th over, but this was when things went out of track and the batting last moment. In the end, despite the Hero of Surya Kumar Yadav, Mumbai ended up losing the game by 12 runs.

Coming back to the head to head supremacy, Lucknow has almost shockingly Mumbai 6 out of 7 times that they have faced in the IPL. No other team has such a positive track record against Mumbai in this league.

Head-to-Head Record:

• Total Matches: 7

• LSG Wins: 6

• MI Wins: 1

Match Results by Year:

• 2022:
