IPL Betting: Another Telugu Student Commits Suicide!

In the recent times, we have been witnessing multiple cases of suicides and personal harm due to sports betting. There have been several casualties regarding the sports betting activities.

The situation is getting aggravated that much more with the onset of the IPL season and here is one such new story that is highlighting the prevailing situation. After the recent suicide of a third year engineering student in Telangana, an M Tech student has died by suicide, again in Telangana.

A student named Pavan, who is studying MTech in JNT University, Hyderabad, committed suicide after allegedly losing Rs 1 lakh in sports gambling. He reportedly pawned his iPhone and Royal Enfield bike to generate money for gambling activities. On top of that, he had overspent the money that was given to him by his parents as well.

In total, this student lost a lot of money in IPL betting which eventually resulted in his suicide. Subsequently, another precious student life has been lost due to the burning issue of sports gambling.

This is again another statutory warning to everyone who has been indulging in such gambling activities. Please beware of what’s happening and take care of your financials and mental wellbeing.
