Viral Video: Did Virat Kohli Humiliate Punjab Player?

Star cricketer, Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive approach on field. He is a very expressive man by nature, and has the habit of showcasing his true emotions in the most attention grabbing manner. We have seen Kohli’s aggressive celebrations on field many times in the past.

However, there is this one particular incident that happened in the game between Bengaluru and Punjab last night, which is grabbing the attention on social media.

When Punjab player Musheer Khan came out to bat, Kohli was standing in the slip corridor and this was when he allegedly did something unexpected. 

Kohli is seen gesturing a “water bottle” while trying to destabilise Musheer who was new at the crease. This is creating a new discourse in social media as people are saying Kohli tried to humiliate the Punjab player by calling him a water boy who came out to bat.  

This video is going viral, and Kohli is catching a lot of hate for his untoward gesture. A few people are commenting that being a senior player himself, Kohli must have shown better respect towards a youngster who is new on this stage. 

But at the same time, we don’t know what Kohli meant with this gesture of his last night. So we can’t draw any conclusions on an immediate basis either.
