T20 Rankings: Indian Youngster Surprises Everyone!

The ICC has released the new list of rankings for T20 batsmen, and the list is as surprising as it can get. But the good thing is that this is a pleasant surprise for Indian cricket team fans. 

Incidentally, young Indian batsman, Abhishek Sharma has been ranked number one on this list. Abhishek is ahead of destructive Australian opener Travis Head who also happens to be his teammate at Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Again, in third position, we have another talented Indian batsmen in the form of Tilak Verma. English batsmen, Phillip salt and Jos Buttler are in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Again in the sixth position, we have another Indian batsmen in the form of the captain of the T20 side, Surya Kumar Yadav.

It is very good to note that the top six list has three Indian batsmen. This is perhaps a reflection of the positive trajectory that the Indian cricket team has been displaying in recent years.

Coming back to Abhishek Sharma, who is currently the number one T20 batsmen in the world, he has been absolutely phenomenal with the bat since his onset in the T20 scene. He even got to the fastest ever century by scoring 135 runs from 54 balls in the England series.

It can be argued that Abhishek Sharma is fully deserving of the number one position that he got on the rankings list, and this is a result of years of hard work and consistency.
